I like this image of Santa in a hot tub. It's a good reminder to relax a little bit during the busy Holiday season. It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and forget to take time to enjoy all that this joyful season has to offer. I think I'll take some inspiration from Santa and try to find a hot tub to sit and relax in over the holidays.
So often people tell us that they have anxiety, before Dr's appointment, and just in general in their everyday life. A friend of mine is a meditation instructor and learned this technique from reading a book by Dr Andrew Weil, whom you might know from television programs such as Oprah and Dr.Oz. Doing this simple technique in 4 cycles twice a day can dramatically change your life if practised regularly, and it only takes about four minutes of your day. So easy and so useful.A client of Dan's recently told me about some videos on youtube for toddler's called "Little Baby Bums"
Being the Mom of a three year old who is being quite stubborn in speaking I thought I would check it out, and I have to say that she really enjoys it. I have noticed progress in her properly saying her ABC's and often catch her singing the familiar nursery rhymes long after she's finished watching. I think this was a very good recommendation and just wanted to pass it along to anyone else who may have young ones gracing their lives. Here is a link for one of their videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPuZKw3ND-0 The Denture Centre is full of song and dance these days as Dan begins a new season of theatre. Once again his daughter has made it into the Port Colborne Operatic Society's annual play. This years selection is Mary Poppins, and Dan will once again be in the production, this year as the police man. He has been showing me his dancing skills and walks around singing...he's "practically perfect". It certainly makes for a pleasant atmosphere here at the Denture Centre. If you stop by for a visit don't be surprised if you hear singing coming from the lab.
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all enjoy a beautiful weekend with loved ones, and enjoy a lovely meal.
First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Tracy, and I am the receptionist here at Dan Grabowski's Denture Centre. Being new to the world of dentures I hadn't realized, and never really thought about how much work goes into making a set of dentures. I have enjoyed looking around Dan's lab and seeing all the curious tools he uses to create perfect smiles for his customers. I was surprised to see how many steps there are from start to finish, and didn't fully appreciate how much art goes into making a natural looking set of teeth. Impressions, moulds, wax models, drawers of teeth, articulated devices that mimic a jaw, Dan's lab is an interesting environment for a curious soul such as myself.
As a client you come in for 4 appointments when Dan starts making your dentures, but behind the scenes there are far more than these 4 steps to make your customized set, and Dan is an expert at this process. His years of experience and knowledge are obvious when you get a chance to see him at work. I look forward to learning more and delving deeper into the world of beautiful smiles. Denturism began in 1971 and three years later, legislation was enacted that would allow Denturists to practice legally in 1974, but it wasn't until 1978 that the first graduated legal denturist appeared on the scene.
Your Denturist is an expert and a specialist at making dentures with a focus on design, construction, fitting and adjustments of complete and partial dentures as well as overdentures on implants. October 31st 2013 at Queen's Park the official statement was read in the legislature declaring October as Denturist Association Month. |
